Openface: The Rebrand
Openface is a classic example of how a rebrand can make all the difference. I was hired to help Openface execute on their exit strategy, which was to be purchased by one of the national Canadian telecom players. In order to do so, they wanted to improve their image, their reach, and their brand recognition.
Strategy
The strategy was comprehensive. Starting with an analysis of where the company was coming from, what its culture was, how its brand was positioned and what its mission was, I embarked on improving and modernizing the logo, determining the company’s identity, and creating a brand strategy that involved everything from new collateral material to digital marketing campaigns.
Below are just a small number of the outputs produced during the close to 2 year campaign that ended with the company being purchased by… a much larger, fast-growing national player.
The Website
We wanted to top off the branding exercise with a strong website that would announce to the world that the company had upped its game, was ready to compete on a national scale and was taking its brand and communications seriously. We aimed to provide a site that would reflect the growth the company was experiencing and the level it was playing at.
Video content creation
Part of our 2 year strategy was the the development of a number of videos which would be showcased on the site and posted to social media as content designed to increase engagement.
